crickets and the dull hum in the kitchen

I am finding that my two favorite times of day are the silent moments early in the morning, and the late late night. Once the husband falls asleep on the couch and his movie is over (tonight it was the Invasion of The Body Snatchers) there is this amazing peace. All the cars have reached their destinations except a few wanderers, the neighbors have left their rolling chairs and video games, and the cat has given up on his milk rings. The only sounds that remain are the late night crickets, and the dull hum of the refrigerator. I think the refrigerator is trying to tell me to remove the near rotten fruit from it's belly, as soon as the guilt of wasting lifts I will do so.

I have a new batch of polymer clay flowers, and jewelry on its way. I have taken quite a bit of time lately working out the clay kinks and discovering the possibilities. I hope to create some unique pieces with this new found art, it is my instant gratification fix some days.
