Summer is being very difficult to love, with this unbearable heat and humidity.  I'm trying to shake off the hard to stand heat with a cool attitude, and some new updates in the shop to distract me.

Moonrise Kingdom

My terrible lack of posts is due to the unfortunate loss of all internet wifi in my house.  I shouldn't be "borrowing" it in the first place. 

This weekend Clinton and I drove to see (my new favorite movie) Moonrise Kingdom.  I hope that it comes to town after all so we can see it again! 

Nature Gems

There are a few new gems on Etsy this week.  My new pieces will focus on found objects, from nature, and the sparkly simple things that catch my eye this summer.

Roots

Hopefully this summer I will get some time to spend continuing my ancestry research.  This past weekend my parents and I got to go back to where my Dad grew up.  This was quite an adventure since he hadn't been close to home in over 20 years.  Some don't want to spend too much time in the past, and recently my Dad started talking about it with me.  I am so grateful!  We went to a Piscataway Pow Wow, which we haven't done in years either, and spent time with my Dad's sister.  She also gave me two helpful leads with my family tree research.  I am so thankful for the time we shared this weekend.
